Privacy
Your data.
Kept clear.
This Privacy Policy explains how Marketing Notes Malta collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our website, create an account, purchase notes or access your purchased notes online.
Last updated: 5 September 2026
We use your information to run your account, process purchases, provide lifetime online access to your notes and keep the service secure.
Marketing Notes Malta does not provide downloadable copies of the purchased notes. Your entitlement is linked to your account and the notes are viewed online through our website.
Who is responsible for your data?
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Marketing Notes Malta is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Data protection enquiries and requests can be submitted through our Contact page.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use Marketing Notes Malta, we may process the following information:
- Your name and email address;
- Your account and login identifiers;
- Your order number and purchase history;
- The products and level of notes you purchased;
- Payment status and transaction information;
- Messages or support requests you send us;
- IP address, browser, device and technical security information;
- Dates and times when your account or purchased notes are accessed;
- Records showing whether purchased digital content has been opened or viewed; and
- Cookie and preference information where applicable.
Your notes stay online
Purchasing notes gives you access to view them through the Marketing Notes Malta website. We do not provide the notes as a downloadable file.
Why we use your information
We process personal data only where we have a lawful reason to do so.
To perform our contract with you
We use your information to create and maintain your account, process your order, recognise what you purchased and give your account access to the correct notes.
To comply with legal obligations
Certain transaction and accounting information may need to be retained to comply with tax, accounting, consumer protection or other legal requirements.
For our legitimate interests
We may process limited technical and access information to secure the website, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, enforce account restrictions, maintain the service and resolve disputes.
Where you give consent
Consent may be used for optional activities such as certain non-essential cookies or direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Lifetime online access
When you purchase notes, your account is given an entitlement to access the relevant content online.
Because this access is intended to remain available on a lifetime basis, we need to keep certain account and purchase records for as long as reasonably necessary to recognise your entitlement and continue providing access.
This may include your account identifier, the product purchased, the order associated with it and records needed to confirm that your account is authorised to view the content.
Access and security records
Our system may record when purchased notes are opened or accessed. These records help us provide the service, protect paid content, investigate account misuse, resolve support issues and determine whether digital content has already been accessed where this is relevant to a refund or withdrawal request.
Technical logs may also contain information such as IP addresses, browser information, device information and access times.
We aim to retain security and technical information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed using Stripe.
Stripe receives and processes payment information required to complete the transaction. Marketing Notes Malta does not need to store your full payment card number on our own website.
We may receive information from Stripe such as whether a payment succeeded, the amount paid, transaction identifiers and limited payment-related details required for accounting, refunds, fraud prevention and customer support.
Stripe processes personal data under its own privacy and data-protection terms.
Cookies and website technology
Marketing Notes Malta may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for functions such as logging in, maintaining a session, remembering preferences, securing accounts and processing purchases.
Where non-essential analytics, advertising or similar cookies are used, they will be handled through the site's cookie and consent controls where required.
You can also manage or remove cookies through your browser, although disabling necessary cookies may stop certain parts of the website from working correctly.
Who we may share data with
We do not sell your personal data for advertising purposes.
Personal data may be shared only where reasonably necessary with service providers involved in operating Marketing Notes Malta, such as:
- Stripe for payment processing;
- Website hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Email and transactional-message providers;
- Security, backup and technical service providers;
- Professional advisers where required; and
- Public authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Service providers are given access only to the information reasonably needed to provide their relevant service.
International data transfers
Some of the technology providers used to operate the website may process data outside Malta or outside the European Economic Area.
Where applicable, such transfers must be protected using a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, appropriate contractual safeguards or another mechanism permitted by data protection law.
How long we keep information
We do not keep every category of information for the same period.
Account, purchase and entitlement information may be retained while it is necessary to provide the lifetime access attached to your purchased notes.
Financial, transaction and accounting records may be retained for any period required by applicable law.
Support messages, technical records and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably required for their purpose, unless longer retention is necessary for a legal claim, investigation or legal obligation.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, data protection law may give you rights including:
- The right to access your personal data;
- The right to correct inaccurate information;
- The right to request erasure in certain circumstances;
- The right to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- The right to object to certain processing;
- The right to data portability where applicable; and
- The right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Some rights are not absolute. For example, we may still need to keep purchase information where it is required to maintain your purchased access or comply with legal obligations.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
Students and younger users
Marketing Notes Malta may be used by students who are under 18 years of age. We aim to limit the collection of personal information to what is reasonably necessary to operate the account, provide purchased access, process payments, provide support and protect the service.
Where the law requires parental or guardian authorisation for processing that relies on consent, we will require that authorisation where applicable.
Keeping your information secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security. Customers should also protect their account credentials and should not share their login information with others.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change.
The latest version will be published on this page together with its updated date.
